Each year, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) convenes an Informatics Training Conference that brings together fellows and faculty from its university-based training program in biomedical informatics, to showcase their work and to foster collaboration among peers. The 2010 NLM Informatics Training Conference will be held on June 15-16, 2010 at the University of Colorado Denver’s Anschutz Medical Campus. All trainees on full-time NLM appointments as of the date of the conference are expected to attend this meeting. Trainees appointed at the Veterans Administration (VA) sponsored training programs and trainees in the CDC Public Health Informatics training programs are also invited to attend and make presentations. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) supports research training in biomedical informatics at eighteen educational institutions in the United States. These programs offer graduate education and postdoctoral research experiences in a wide range of areas including: health care informatics, bioinformatics and computational biology, clinical research translational informatics, and public health informatics. Many programs also offer additional tracks in areas such as imaging, dental and library informatics. ATTENTION:
Transportation to and from the Hotel The Renaissance Hotel has complimentary shuttle service from DIA to the hotel. Proceed to ground transportation which is on the same floor as baggage claim (level 5). Exit out door 506 or 511, proceed to island 3 and look for signs that say Renaissance and Radisson Hotels. The shuttle runs on the half-hour (on :05 and :35).

The Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC) is a multi-functional campus, which houses Industry, Hospitals, Research and Education. Formerly known as the Fitzsimons Army Base and Hospital, this campus has merged new construction with historical buildings. The Anschutz campus is home to Children’s Hospital, University Hospital, The Barbara Davis Center, School of Medicine, School of Public Health, Dentistry and Nursing, plus multiple research centers and labs.
